License Octans' independent coverage of the under-covered names the terminals skip — US small and mid-caps and Greater China listings (中概股, HK-primary, A-share) — over REST, RSS, and JSON Feed. Items carry the full body and the structured Semaform blocks, with the facts sourced to filings and the view stated as our own.

What you get

REST — /api/v1/contentJSON

Full-body research items with cursor pagination and ?sector= / ?ticker= filters. Independent lane is the default scope.

JSON Feed 1.1 — /feed.jsonJSON

Standards-compliant JSON Feed of the latest independent research. Drop it into any JSON Feed reader or pipeline.

RSS — /feed.xmlXML

Classic RSS of the independent feed for readers, aggregators, and syndication partners.

Every channel serves the independent lane only. Sponsored and issuer-paid content is excluded by construction — it is never in this feed.

REST access is issued on request: ask below and we send a key (prefixed oct_test_) for the Bearer header. Prefer keyless? /feed.xml and /feed.json serve the same independent lane in full, no key needed. Filter with ?sector= and ?ticker=; page with the returned next_cursor.

The firewall, as a product feature

Independent research and sponsored content live in physically separate lanes — enforced in the API scopes, not just the chrome. The default scope returns independent research only; the sponsored lane is a separately contracted scope, and a request cannot widen into it.

The lane every channel serves out of the box. Full-body items, no teaser, no forced link-back — a canonical URL travels with each item for SEO hygiene only.

A separate, separately-contracted scope — unissued at this stage. Without the contracted x-octans-scope: sponsored header, the sponsored lane is a 403. Any such item carries its §17(b) / FINRA 2210·2241 disclosure inline, and it never appears in the independent feed or the news sitemap.

How licensing works

    Request access. Tell us how you want to use the feed — reader, internal tool, or redistribution — and we send a test key (oct_test_…) scoped to the independent lane.

  2. 2

    Build against the independent lane. The RSS and JSON feeds are public and full-body, so you can evaluate the coverage before any paperwork is signed; your test key then unlocks REST with filters and pagination.

  3. 3

    Agree terms for redistribution. Displaying Octans research on your own surface is a license conversation — attribution, canonical embed, and scope. We’ll scope it with you directly.

Formal issuance, rate limits, and per-licensee scopes are being rolled out. This page describes the feed as it ships today; terms are set per licensee, not published here.
